Sarah Bingham Miller joins Camp Quest Support Center
September 6, 2018
Staunton, VA -- This week Camp Quest, Inc. welcomes Sarah Bingham Miller as its new Development Director. As the steward of development initiatives, Sarah is responsible for cultivating productive relationships with Camp Quest supporters, volunteers, and organizational partners in addition to leading our fundraising programs. Sarah joins Executive Director Kim Newton at the Camp Quest Support Center, located in Staunton, VA.
Sarah is a forward-thinking leader who brings to Camp Quest 20 years of experience with non-profits and a diverse background in arts, culture, and financial industries. During her time as the General Manager of the American Friends of the Ludwig Foundation of Cuba, Sarah helped oversee the Foundation’s development and fundraising efforts, and she led extensive production and outreach programs for the Foundation’s primary project, the Havana Film Festival New York. There, she developed innovative approaches to donor engagement, reaching new audiences through cultural exchanges between the US and Cuba. Prior to her foundation work, Sarah was a lead corporate trainer at JPMorgan Investment Banking in New York City. Most recently, Sarah co-founded Cinelandia USA, an online portal for promotion of Latin American film in the United States. She holds an MA in Art History from Northwestern University.
Sarah is honored to transition her development skills to Camp Quest and is eager to collaborate with the many volunteers, families, and supporters who help make our work so meaningful. She shares, “I’m excited to be part of the Camp Quest community! Having been raised in a non-religious household, I know how important it is for young people to be in a supportive and inclusive environment. I look forward to meeting with volunteers, board members, and campers to learn more about what makes Camp Quest so special, and to help our community grow.”
Sarah joins our staff at the new home for the Camp Quest Support Center, the Staunton Innovation Hub. The IHub is a co-working hotspot of leading-edge organizations and companies working to synergize, connect, and inspire innovators in our community. We are excited for the opportunities that Camp Quest will have to grow through the connections and relationships we will build there.
