  • On Saturday, March 24th join us at the Reason Rally, on the National Mall in Washington, DC.  This free celebration is going to be the largest gathering the secular community has ever seen.  Tim Minchin, Bad Religion, Adam Savage, and a host of other great speakers and bands will be there, and so will Camp Quest!  Come find us at the Camp Quest tent where we'll have craft projects, and games for all ages.  We'll also have plenty of information on how you can sign up for a Camp Quest session this summer.

Freethinking Internships for the Fall!

Secular Coalition for America LogoTwo national partners of Camp Quest, the Secular Coalition for America and Foundation Beyond Belief are offering fall internships.  Camp Quest is proud to be one of the 10 member organziations of the Secular Coalition for America, and we're honored to have been selected as a beneficiary of Foundation Beyond Belief for the second year in a row.  If you're interested in getting more involved in the freethought community, these internships may be just the opporuntities you're looking for.

Foundation Beyond Belief LogoThe Foundation Beyond Belief Internship is a 28 week virtual internship requiring about 8 hours per week.

The Secular Coalition for America Internship is a 12 week part-time position in Washington, DC.

Bring the Kids for Camp Quest Minnesota at American Atheists Convention!

CQ Minnesota LogoJoin Camp Quest Minnesota for a fun-filled mini-camp occurring one day only during the 2011 American Atheist National Convention in Des Moines. There will be Camp Quest style activities and events as well as field trips to the Science Center and All-Play.

What's a Summer Camp Doing in a Secular Lobbying Coalition?

Using the "E-word" in Elementary School

Delaney's MonkeyIs evolution appropriate for elementary schoolers?  We certainly think so, and so does Charlie's Playhouse, maker of fabulous evolution toys for kids.  A few months back Charlie's Playhouse held an Evolution and Art Contest for kids ages 4-12.  They asked kids to imagine an environment, and then take a currently existing animal and draw a picture of how its descendents might look after millions of years of adapting to living in that environment.  Even though the contest is over, you can still download the activity and do it with your kids, or get together with some other families and hold your own contest!
