Texas Freethought Convention Day Camp!
Hey Camp Quest parents! Have you wanted to attend conferences, but find it too difficult to manage when you have kids? Fear not! This year, Camp Quest and the Richard Dawkins Foundation are hosting a kids’ day camp and babysitting service at the Texas Freethought Conference! Read on for details of the camp!
Children ages 7 and up will be able to attend the day camp on Saturday. There will be tons of fun activities for the kids to do! Check in begins at 8 AM, and the day is jam-packed with games and adventures! The day will start with icebreakers so campers and counselors can get to know each other better, followed by games, discussions, experiments, and snacks. There will also be a Scavenger Hunt around the hotel to see which group can observe and find things the quickest! Of course, no Camp Quest event would be complete without a "Socrates' Cafe" philosophical discussion!
The fun doesn't stop there! On Sunday morning of the conference, Richard Dawkins himself will be reading from his new book, The Magic of Reality. There will be a Q&A after the session for kids to ask questions.
It should be a fun and exciting time, so be sure to register before the camp fills up!
